I found a roll of this very special dark navy and white check cotton in a market. I washed it to remove the glaze and it will get softer and softer every time. This dress has a scoop neck and three quarter length sleeves. I used a little vintage rick rack around the neckline and a lovely larger rick rack round the cuffs and the hem. There are pockets in the side seams.
