I found a bolt of wonderful vintage French check cotton which i decided to wash first to “deglaze” the stiffness; it will only get softer with wear. This Isla dress has elbow length sleeves , a slight scoop neck, high waist line, gathered skirt with pockets and the neck and sleeves and hem have been trimmed with an assortment oif vintage rick rack. This is the first one and more can be made.
